Cleaning Done Right!
The exterior of your house may not be covered in muck and grime, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. The amount of accumulated trash is not a good indicator of how well you keep your home. It just happens. Whether you like it or not, the elements are continually damaging your property. But it doesn’t mean you have to stand by and let dirt ruin your wonderful home. Or, you might use a pressure washer to clean the outside of your house and remove years’ worth of scum. Pressure washers can cause damage to your property if you are not careful. Here are some tips for newbies to pressure cleaning:
Prep Properly
If you don’t have enough water available, your pressure washer won’t work to its maximum potential. To determine whether you have enough water for washing, time how long it takes to fill a 5-gallon bucket at your home. The water supply might not be sufficient if it takes more than two minutes.
Together with cleaning your washer’s input filter, ensure sure all hoses and attachments are connected correctly. Clear the space of any items and dirt that can block your cleaning efforts because toys can easily be broken if accidentally impacted.
Always Keep Safe
Pressure washers, which are extraordinarily strong instruments, may be hazardous if used inappropriately. When using one, always put on safety gear, such as gloves, boots, long sleeves, goggles, and earplugs.
Before you start the machine, be sure nobody will be in the way of the spray. Additionally, a pressure washer can damage windows, doors, overhangs, and screens, so hold the tool securely with two hands and proceed with caution before making any quick movements. If it’s windy outside, think about waiting until it calms down because the spray can come right back at you.
